The lists below marks each grave at Woodlawn Cemetary with the name of the soldier buried there, the date of the death, his military unit. Names in red have stories in the Confederate Index section. The list as obtained by Tom Flynn Walker of Pine City from the Chemung County Historical Society and retyped it for the web page. Joyce M. Tice formatted it for presentation online. The original record of the dead was kept by John W. Jones, an escaped slave who served as the sexton for the prison and personally buried each of the dead.
